Walking tour in aguadilla about the history, geography and arquitecture of Aguadilla. In this walking tour a certified local tour guide will take you to some of the most iconic places in the town of Aguadilla.

  1. Plaza Rafael Hernadez, Church Carlos Borromeo and Train Structure-   First we start by meeting in the Plaza Rafael Hernandez Marin in Aguadilla. where the tour guide will introduce Rafael Hernández, one of Puerto Rico's most beloved composers. You’ll have the chance to admire the sculptures honoring him and listen to some of his most famous compositions like Lamento Borincano and Campanitas de Cristal. This historic church San Carlos Borromeo, built in the 18th century, showcases classic Spanish colonial architecture. The guide can provide insights into the church’s history and significance in Aguadilla. The church has beautiful stained-glass doors with the image of Virgen del Carmen. tour will proceed to the remnants of the old train bridge. This structure is a fascinating piece of Puerto Rico's transportation history. Participants can compare old photographs of the train bridge with the current remnants, offering a vivid illustration of how the area has evolved over time.
  2. Casa Alcaldia, Art Gallery  and Kite Street-  This historic building, with its impressive architecture, serves as the administrative heart of the town. Inside, participants will enjoy an art exhibition showcasing works by local artists from Aguadilla. The guide can discuss the significance of the art pieces, highlighting the vibrant culture, history and creative spirit of the town. We will walk thru an alley that is covered with colorful kites where you can take beautiful pictures. And we will start walking towards El Parterre and will also appreciate the architecture of some of the historic buildings in the city
  3. Parterre, Fishermen mural and Historical Cemetery-  Finally, visit El Parterre, a historic site that dates back to the 19th century. This natural spring was once the main water source for the town. The area is surrounded by lush gardens, and the guide can explain its historical importance and how it has evolved into a tranquil park today.
  4. We will continue walking and exploring the town and we will see a mural and a boat exhibition to  honor some of Aguadilla's most loved fishermen. In this stop we will get our Limber   a frozen treat made in Aguadilla.
  5. Historical Urban Cemetery:-The tour will finish at the Historical Urban Cemetery in Aguadilla, a site rich with history and stories of the town's past residents. The cemetery is the final resting place of many notable figures from Aguadilla's history, including local leaders, artists. This cemetery is right in front of the beach and has a beautiful view
